League sources have confirmed that Brooklyn Nets PF/C Mason Plumlee will participate in this year’s NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
Plumlee joins Milwaukee Bucks F Giannis Antetokounmpo and Orlando Magic G Victor Oladipo as confirmed participants in the contest. Minnesota Timberwolves G Zach LaVine has also been named a confirmed participant.
It will be good from Plumlee to represent the Nets this year as Barclays Center will be hosting the dunk contest, and it is does not seem the Nets will have any All-Stars this year.
So far, Plumlee is the lone big man to be confirmed to participate in this year’s contest. However he should not be discouraged, plenty of big men have won the contest in the past including Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard and Jeremy Evans.
Plumlee has had his fair share of nice dunks, including this one recently.
