Who else misses Gerald Green?
Above you saw one of the best alley-oops in NBA history, in my opinion. Catching an alley-oop alone is difficult, but then to throw in a windmill? It takes ball control, it takes vertical leap, it also takes a dash of recklessness.
The barometer that shows how great this dunk was is the Houston Rockets’ bench. Even they were hyped up after the slam which shows how great it was really was.
The dunk occurred on March 12, 2012 but the windmill slam was not all that Green contributed in the game, also throwing in 26 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal off the bench in just his seventh game for the New Jersey Nets after being signed from the NBA D-League.
Now Green is an integral part of the Phoenix Suns’ bench with per-game averages of 13.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 42 FG%, 38 3PT% and 87 FT% in 21.7 minutes per game.
