Although the New York Knicks are currently one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA, the future in New York may not look as bleak as many anticipated.
As always, the Knicks seem to be a perennial top landing spot for big time NBA free agents, and Tobias Harris has reportedly expressed interest in making his way to New York this coming offseason.
Harris will be a restricted free agent, so the Orlando Magic would have the ability to match any contract the Knicks offer.
Thus far this season, Harris has posted 18.0 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 47.1% from the field and 40.7% from three point range.
Harris should be one of the best players in the next free agent class, and is one of the young budding stars of the league. If there is any good news for Knicks’ fans nowadays, it may be that Harris “wants to win a championship with the Knicks.”
