Yankees To Retire Number 46 In Honor Of Andy Pettitte

The New York Yankees next edition to Monument Park is coming soon.

Andy Pettitte’s number 46 while be retired and honored with a plaque in monument park on August 23rd, a home game for the Yankees against the Minnesota Twins.

Pettitte’s 46 will be the 18th number added to monument park, the last being Joe Torre’s number 6.

In 15 seasons as a Yankee, Pettitte went 219-127 with a 3.94 ERA, winning 5 World Series rings. Pettitte leads the franchise with 2,020 strikeouts, and is third in wins and innings pitched with 2,796 1/3.
