The inevitable has finally occurred.
New York Knicks superstar forward Carmelo Anthony has announced he wiIl undergo season ending surgery sometime soon for his nagging knee injury.
The speculation was that Melo would play in the All Star Game (he scored 14 points on 6/20 shooting) and then announce he’s opting for season ending surgery. And that is exactly what happened.
Anthony has been limited to 40 games this season, and the Knicks are a winless 0-13 without him. Expect the Knicks to be losing even more than before with their best player sidelined.
