Peyton Hillis has been released by the New York Giants. This release should come as no surprise as Hillis barely contributed with the Giants when healthy.
He rushed for 116 yards in 26 attempts. Hillis went down after Week 10 of this season with a concussion and never came back. Hillis has had a concussion problem his whole career, those concussions have held back his career drastically.
In 2013, Hillis was brought on the Giants after a plethora of Giants running backs went down with injury. Hillis was a team player and seemed willing to do anything to help out the Giants. Unfortunately, Hillis is never healthy and he is just too slow to be a running back on this team. This will clear about $945k in cap space.
