The New York Giants were in need of offensive lineman going into the offseason, and while it may not be a flashy name, they now have at least one more to add to the depth chart: Marshall Newhouse.
Newhouse, 26, received a -9.7 Pro Football Focus (PFF) rating over the course of 250 snaps this past season, prior to being replaced.
The former Cincinnati Bengal has been relatively healthy in the three season he has competed in the NFL. Having only missed one game of the Bengals 16 regular season games last season, Newhouse played in all 16 games for the Packers in both 2011 and 2012.
Newhouse, a product of Texas Christian university, is likely being brought in for depth reasons as well as to provide competition to starters, but do not expect him to get anywhere near starting if his production continues the way it has in seasons past.
