While the New York Jets continue their pursuit of Darrelle Revis, they have solidified the cornerback position with the acquisition of four year pro, Buster Skrine.
Skrine, who is joining from the Cleveland Browns, started all 16 games last season, and comes into New York as the primary cornerback on the depth chart as of right now. Of course that could all change, though, with the acquisition of Revis.
Over the course of last season, Skrine made 67 combined tackles while also grabbing four interceptions. For his career, he has 235 tackles and six interceptions to his name.
Health wise, he seems to stay on the pitch as he has competed in all 64 possible games he could have competed in for the Cleveland Browns.
The signing of Skrine gives the Jets options, but a lot of work is remained to be done if New York is going to rebound from their 4-12 season.
