With the downward spiral the New York Yankees are currently going on, changes, should and are being made. The latest one is calling up strikeout machine 2014 draft pick Jacob Lindgren from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
Fellow reliever Brandon Pinder will be sent down to make room for Lindgren on the major league roster, who was been absolutely dominant throughout his minor league career.
He has a 1.23 ERA (1.92 FIP) in 22 innings for Scranton this year with a 31.5 K% and a 70.8 GB%. Lindgren’s numbers throughout his Yankee career also are phenomenal as he has posted a 39.3 K% and 75.6 GB% in 46.2 innings at five different levels.
The Yankees middle bullpen has been weak this season, and Lindgren should give a nice boost.
