Knicks Trade Tim Hardaway Jr. For Jerian Grant

After much speculation, the New York Knicks have made a deal. Sophomore shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has been traded to the Atlanta Hawks for Notre Dame point guard Jerian Grant.

Hardaway has been at the center of trade rumors for quite some time now, and the Knicks finally pulled the trigger with this deal. The 19th pick was originally the Wizards but it was traded to the Hawks in a deal centered around Kelly Oubre Jr.

Grant was a four year player at Notre Dame who was a first team All American last season. He is 6’5 and he is a very strong scorer from all around.

With the Knicks drafting PorzingisĀ as their first selection, Grant now should compete for a starting point guard job with Jose Calderon.
