The Brooklyn Nets selected Chris McCullough with the 29th pick in the 2015 NBA draft. McCullough is a native New Yorker and attended school at Syracuse University.
McCullough is a power forward who can provide excellent versatility for the Nets. However McCullough is recovering from an ACL injury which must be monitored closely by the Nets’ medical staff. The recovery time for ACL tears is different for each player, but it is likely that McCullough will not be active for the season opener.
He is targeting a November return according to Devin Kharpertian of the Brooklyn Game
His 7’3 wingspan can help him defensively, but McCullough needs to add some weight so he will have the ability to match up with some of the bigger forwards in the league. McCullough can guard small forwards due to his speed.
Only attempting one three pointer last season, McCullough should look to expand his range past the three point line.
When interviewed after being drafted, McCullough said: “Just thankful for the opportunity.”
