The Brooklyn Nets have waived reserve point guard Darius Morris. Morris was set to make $25,000 on July 1, which would be his first guaranteed money of the 2015/16 season. The Michigan product signed with Brooklyn on December 11, 2014.
Morris played sparingly for the Nets last season, and only five minutes in the playoffs. The move is not unexpected as the Nets recently acquired PG Steve Blake from the Portland Trail Blazers and with Deron Williams and Jarrett Jack also on the roster, there is simply no room for Morris.
Morris did suited up for 38 games as a Net, and contributed 2.2 points and 1.3 assists per game.
