Thomas Robinson Agrees to Two-Year Deal with Nets

Thomas Robinson and the Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a two-year deal with a player option in the second year. Robinson confirmed the deal via Twitter.

Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders confirmed the contract details. To add on the contract is a minimum deal, which should be considered a steal for Robinson.

Brooklyn was rumored to sign Robinson after he waived by the Denver Nuggets. However, the Philadelphia 76ers claimed Robinson off waivers before the Nets had the opportunity to sign him.

After joining the 76ers, Robinson averaged 8.8 ppg, 7.7 rpg in just 18.5 minutes a night. Those are solid numbers in such low minutes, however Robinson has failed to live up to his potential.

Robinson was drafted fifth overall in the 2012 draft. Since then Robinson has bounced around the league and never truly found a home. The Kansas product also seems determined to prove others wrong.

Expect Robinson to provide athleticism and rebounding off the bench. A steal for the Nets.
