In a Fourth of July celebration Jason Pierre-Paul had in his home state of Florida, reports are now indicating the defensive end has severely injured his hand in a fire working accident.
Home firework use is legal in Florida, unlike New York. As seen below, the Giants defensive end rented out quite a bit of the explosives.
It’s unclear what exactly happened to him right now, but the most recent reports have said its “severe”.
Pierre-Paul has yet to sign a contract with the Giants who franchise tagged him in the summer. This could be a big blow not only for him and his pursuit of a big contract, but for the New York Giants. He has the most sacks of anyone on the team over the past four seasons, reaching double digits twice.
Currently, Robert Ayers is behind him on the depth chart with George Selvie starting on the opposite side.
