After acquiring him in a midseason trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder, the New York Knicks have officially re-signed small forward Lance Thomas to a one year deal valued at 1.6 million dollars.
Thomas played in 40 games for New York last season, starting in 24. Derek Fisher credited him and Langston Galloway with bringing positive vibes and leadership into the locker room, and that probably led to him being brought back for a second season. He did average 8.3 PPG and 3 RPG on 43.4% shooting as well.
Thomas should be a reserve option for the Knicks, currently behind Carmelo Anthony and Cleanthony Early on the depth chart.
