Giants Training Camp Battles

Three years ago, Big Blue rushed to the podium at Super Bowl XLVI where Eli Manning, Jason Pierre-Paul and Prince Amukamara hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy

For the second time in a mere five seasons, the Giants were at the pinnacle of the league.

So much has changed since that cold day in February — the safeties, defensive ends and offensive line are barely reminiscent of what was — as the Giants prepare for the 2015 NFL season.

Antrel Rolle? Gone. Justin Tuck? Gone. Chris Snee? Gone. Osi Umenyiora? Gone. Hakeem Nicks? Gone. David Diehl? Gone.

After Jason Pierre-Paul, the team’s best defensive lineman, lost parts of his fingers in a freak fireworks accident, the team’s defensive line looks dismal. Things don’t look much brighter on the offensive side of the ball, where Eli Manning is bound to be protected by inexperienced linemen and surrounded with untested running backs.

Up until the signing of Jeremy Miles, there was mediocre experience in the secondary. Oh wait… there still is.

Giants Training Camp is scheduled to open up on July 30, 2015 at Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. There are a lot of positions up-for-grabs — and not a lot of experience to fill them.
