New York City FC’s second round superdraft selection Connor Brandt will undergo surgery tomorrow for an adductor injury.
Brandt was hopeful he would be able to return without undergoing this surgical procedure, but unfortunately that is no longer an option.
He strained it early in the season, limiting him to just one game played. The 22 year old rookie was named 2014 West Coast Conference Player of the Year and to the All-WCC First Team as a senior at the University of San Diego last season, leading to his selection in the draft.
Brandt is still in good spirits, hoping for a speedy recovery.
