After signing Darion Atkins earlier today, the New York Knicks have struck again. They have signed Harvard guard Wesley Saunders to a partially guaranteed deal.
The Harvard guard will have an uphill battle to make the Knicks roster, but he is guaranteed a spot at training camp to showcase his talents.
Saunders has the chance to be the first Harvard graduate to make the NBA since Jeremy Lin. Saunders averaged 16.6 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 4.3 assists per game in 34.4 minutes per game. He also is 22-years-old, showing a maturity and experience level many other undrafted rookies do not have.
Saunders also played in the Las Vegas summer league for the Utah Jazz, and his results were mixed. He averaged 2.8 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game on 35% shooting.
